Want to experience port wine tasting? You could easily spend a week visiting all the Port houses in the city.
Our “Best of the Best” tasting brings together the best producers, allowing you to compare and contrast their products and histories in one fabulous event, making the most of your time in the city.
Set in our beautiful Orangerie or on a sunny day in the garden, here in the heart of the old town, you will enjoy a fun and informative session that will turn you into a Port aficionado.
You will try four excellent ports: a White, Ruby, Tawny, and LBV from premium houses Sandeman, Graham’s, Taylor’s, and Ferreira.
Our Chef has thoughtfully paired these with artisan chocolates made here in Portugal by small producers, each of whom has their own story that you will learn along with the history of Port wine in Porto, the producers and the vintage Port wines themselves.
Ports, Chocolate, and Mini Bottles (hand luggage-friendly) are also available for purchase to take home as gifts for friends and family.
After the tasting, you are welcome to stay and enjoy additional wines and ports or tapas from our selection at additional cost.
